Netflix Releases 'House of Cards' Trailer

A new trailer for "House of Cards" - one of the first Netflix Original Series - is circulating on the web today. The show is based on a previous BBC political drama series of the same name. Even though "House of Cards" isn't airing in traditional broadcast venues, it still looks like the production value will be second to none in the world of television. Rumor is that Netflix outbid drama giants HBO and AMC for rights to the series, which was developed by Kevin Spacey, David Fincher and Beau Willimon. Kevin Spacey also plays the lead role of a ruthless politician attempting to take over Washington DC. What is clear from the trailer is that "House of Cards" will continue to push the envelope in terms of quality of serialized content. The line between what belongs on your television and what belongs in a movie theatre is constantly getting more and more blurred. You can check out the full trailer on YouTube or after the break. The series will debut exclusively on Netflix on February 1, 2013.
